SUSAN DOUGAL

Susan, a passionate artist at Two Rivers Art Gallery & Gift Shop, volunteers as an Assistant Director. She embarked on her journey into the world of jewelry over two decades ago. What began as a hobby, experimenting with beautiful stones, Swarovski crystals, and sterling silver findings, evolved into a lifelong love affair with the art of beading.

Over the years, Susan became a familiar face at her local fine bead and gemstone store, avidly attending gem fairs in Eugene, Oregon, and participating in holiday markets with her meticulously crafted creations. It was during these moments that Susan discovered her true calling and ignited her artistic flame.

Upon retiring from the construction industry, Susan found herself with more time to dedicate to her craft. Embracing wire wrapping, she began with centerpieces for her beaded necklaces, gradually transforming her designs into intricate drop earrings and pendants. Susan's pendants are a testament to her commitment to quality, featuring exquisite materials such as turquoise, pearl, jasper, lace and moss agate, moonstones, elegantly embraced by beautiful wirework.

Retirement not only granted Susan the luxury of time for her artistic pursuits but also allowed her to engage with her community. Upon relocating to Chiloquin, she seized the opportunity to volunteer at Two Rivers Art Gallery, where she dedicated several days a week to her craft and the Gallery. In 2023, Susan Dougal's passion and commitment led her to a new role as one of Two Rivers Art Gallery’s Assistant Directors, contributing to the thriving artistic community.
